| A very small redesign of the JTA public transportation stop. RIP. Technique: huh... model making? Media: Various little things and trinkets; visual lies; acrylic |
The purpose of this project was to redesign an identity for JTA -Jacksonville's public transportation system. The design came about after playing with a "two-wall" concept (most covered stops have two to three). I wanted to maximize square footage while keeping a low building cost, and also heighten the appeal through design in order to achieve the goal of identity, thus improving public opinion and encouraging public transportation. The design allows for a sun-power option and features plenty of space for seated, standing, and handicapped personnel, also housing comfortable space for maps and ads. Our bus stops in Jacksonville consist of dirty, worn down benches with little to no cover. I've also redesigned the stop sign and on this model because the current one features the JTA logo against a black background.
